Yeah, Mi Ciudad Baby.
I'm here, finally, after such a long time, back to visit my beloved Londres, not as a student this time but as a career girl. As I was having my breakfast solo this morning in the Gloucester Rd B&B, strawberry jam dripping on my chin from the baguette (that's my fave breakfast BTW, baguette, butter, strawberry jam, and chai). I felt in my element. This is the place that made me who I am today. This is the city that taught me the morals I have acquired. This is the city that gave me the opportunity to grow and grow and grow. This is the city that showed me that there's more to this world than pretentious personalities, expensive car plate numbers, designer handbags, connections, and social events.
It's a Saturday morning and most of my sleepy head friends haven't answered my phone calls, so I'll just pick myself up and go see Noonz whose just had a baby girl. Yaaay.
My plan for the next 10 days includes not wasting any minute. Only God knows when I'll be back here again so I intend to make the most of my time.
Spoke to mama and she was genuinely happy that I'm having a great time. If only she saw me twirling down the street, dancing and singing to the stranger pedestrians happily, as if telling everyone I'm back, she'd laugh her head off.
There are melancholy feelings in me for the most amazing student days, long gone, and they will never come back. What an experience. At least I am grateful that I got the opportunity to experience it all.
Life has always been amazing, even though at times, I failed to look past the little bumps. The past was great, the present is amazing and I know that the future will be fabulous.
