Yo Compro Esa Mujer

I don't remember what year it was exactly but I have a feeling it was before I reached grade 7, when Corry was still working in my household and would watch it with us.  I watched this telenovio each day and was so excited by it.  I doubt this was my first taste of an epic love story but this definitely was the most influential.  It shaped my views on love, a true love, a fierce love where one has to go against everyone and everything to be with their loved on.  A true love story should be sincere, intense, full of joy, full of passion, never boring and eternal.  A true love should start on this earth and continue in the heavens.

And perhaps this is one reason why I have such high expectations of men who love me.  They have to be macho, skilled, well-off, and only have eyes for me. They must fight for me with their all.

I can see now, that I have paid a price for my strong views, and a few "Ășn-worthy' men have too.  That's why my expectations of The One are too high.

But I do not regret any of it.  If anything, even though I have mellowed down slightly, I still want this kind of intense, pure and eternal Love.  There is no impossible so why not?

Alejandro AlDama and Anna-Christina Montes De Ocha: thank you for giving me the greatest love story to believe in and live by.  Thank you.

Till we meet again,
Sedeso
